We are all blessed to have the best job in the world. I never thought so much responsiblity would be so rewarding. I am greatful every single day for my precious little girl. I was chosen to be her Mommy, and I couldn't be more honored.

You will be chewing in no time! I started eating lettuce and very small pieces of steak at 3 months but only cut up very small and sometimes I didn't chew it much. With practice, it got easier very quickly. I started eating nuts and apples around the 4.5 month mark and probably could have sooner but I had surery 2 and 3 at the 3 and 4 month marks so that slowed my progress a bit. I don't eat a lot of nuts but occasionally I'll have some and just eat them slowly. You will get there before you know it!

ReplyDeleteI'm doing well. Pain is much better these days and my bite is lining up well with the band. Eating is slowly progressing. No more hunger, just cravings for salad and crunchy things.
DeleteI have my 8 week post-op appointment on Friday. I'll post this weekend with what he has to say.
